Philosophy
This page is the home for Davey Defense doctrine. Not hype. Not internet arguments. Not “thoughts.” These are the positions and principles that guide how I teach, how I carry, how I train, and what I expect from responsible armed citizens.
Everything here is written to be referenced. If you are a student, this is where you will find the why behind the standards. If you are an instructor, this is the foundation. If you are neither, read it anyway. It will save you time, money, and bad decisions.
What This Section Is
This is an evergreen reference library. The goal is clarity and accountability. Each page stands on its own, but they are connected by the same theme: competence matters, judgment matters, and consequences are real.
What This Section Is Not
This is not legal advice. It is not political activism. It is not a place to justify reckless behavior with technical legality. It is not written to win arguments. It is written to keep good people out of preventable trouble.
Use This Page
If you are reading a post or getting ready for training and you see a link back to Philosophy, follow it. These pages explain the standards behind the instruction. They also clarify what I will not endorse as an instructor, even if something is technically legal.
