Basic Pistol

About Course

Introduction to Pistol is built for new shooters, first-time firearm owners, those seeking a refresher before their Permit to Carry class, and law enforcement officers preparing for annual training qualifications.

Everything starts with the basics. This course covers the Four Rules of Firearm Safety, pistol parts and operation, proper grip and stance, sight alignment and sight picture, trigger control and follow-through, safe loading/unloading, and clearing common malfunctions. We’ll also touch on cleaning, storage, and responsible ownership.

By the end, you’ll have a solid foundation to handle and operate a pistol safely and confidently, and you’ll be ready for live-fire range training or the next step toward advanced instruction.
